Sustainability is more than just a buzz word at Molke and we are continually looking at ways we can improve our environmental impact. One area we have considered is carbon offsetting, so we looked at the best options available. For us, it was important to look at something that we could see change the world around us, supporting local wildlife and people in our community, whilst also making positive changes for our future. This has led us to start our own Molke grove with Trees for Life.
Trees for Life are on a mission to rewild the Scottish Highlands by enabling the restoration of the globally unique Caledonian Forest. They would like to have a revitalised wild forest to provide space for wildlife to flourish and communities to thrive. Creating rich woodland habitats will support wildlife such as red squirrel, black grouse, capercaillie, pine marten and golden eagle.
Along with planting trees and helping develop healthy young woodland, they also have several ongoing projects including encouraging new populations of red squirrels and looking at the feasibility of reintroducing Lynx to Scotland.
As a business, we pledge to continue growing our grove and making Scotland a little bit greener.
